THE KEY
I designed and made this ceramic wall sculpture with blue, brown and white surface. The ceramic wall face has painterly washes of color and a curved key shape. The Key has an eye-catching and intriguing presence. 10 x 7.5 inches.
The wall sculpture is named after the antique key latches made for exterior doors in villages in Roman times. The shape of the key latch is integrated into the glazed face. It is based on a key found in the Roman collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
