I made him because I love the silhouette of the 'ship of the desert'. We have thousands of feral camels roaming the Australian outback. They were introduced back in the nineteenth century by Afghani traders who supplied goods to distant colonial settlements. Camels are now captured and sent to the Middle East for racing. Our camels in Australia have pure and resilient bloodlines from their isolation in the Australian interior.
