DEER
Classic aesthetics meet contemporary style in this thrown Greek inspired bowl. It has black brushwork of a stylised deer and patterns from the ancient Hellenic world. The circular vessel form is decorated with a traditional meander pattern on the rim. The historical design is a linear version of the famous Minoan Labyrinth. 7.5 inches across.
The bowl is made from a red clay and fired to earthenware temperature. It retains the matte texture and feel of low fired pottery. Terracotta means baked earth in Italian. This vessel is inspired by the Aegean and east Mediterranean style of 8th century BC.
The charming brushwork deer and the ancient Grecian style terracotta orange will give a bright, bohemian accent to your living room. The contemporary reinterpretation of the ancient pottery bowl form is also the ideal gift for a friend who likes to travel the world of classical antiquity.
