PROTAZOA
This square ceramic sculpture, Protazoa, is one of a kind table decor. It's a square platter with stylized amoeba sitting in the concave bowl frame. A quirky sculpture, it will be an eye-catching centerpiece on your coffee or dining table. Add some fruit to the platter, and you have a unique ornamental display! I hand modelled the amoeba shapes and finished the sculpture with a mix of slip and creamy color, crawl glaze. 11 inches across.
I used to go sailing with my father out of Port Adelaide in South Australia. We would stop on the sand banks near the mouth of the river to go crabbing. We would sink into sticky grey mud if we went out too deep. Dad was a science teacher and he gave us a love of the natural world. So this table sculpture is a homage to the time I spent together with my father.
