TAPER
I designed and made this pair of retro wall vases. The pattern and texture of these waterproof vessels works well in a chic and pared back interior. They are called Taper Vases after the beautiful candles used in religious ceremonies in church. 12.5" high.
I used mid-century modern, geometric shapes which were popular in the 1950's. Each vase is uniquely made by forming the shape first and then applying the geometric pattern. I designed and hand modelled the lines using symbolic and stylized motifs. This pair has repeating patterns of 'crazy paving' type triangles. Ideal for air plants or to display dried or artificial flowers. Or treat yourself to beautiful fresh flowers every week!
